Seeking an experienced Finance Controller to oversee the financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and effective debtor management. This is a part-time role offering flexibility while making a significant impact on the organisation.

Location: Inverness

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and forecasts
  • Chase payments via email and phone, negotiate payment plans
  • Manage budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning processes
  • Maintain and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with statutory accounting and tax requirements
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and external advisor
  • Implement and optimise finance systems to streamline reporting and operations
  • Liaise with customers to detail payment positions, providing invoices and statements as needed

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Finance Controller, Finance Manager, or senior finance professional
  • Strong experience in Excel and finance/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a part-time capacity
